I know knitting is all the rage but although I went through a lot of trouble to learn it from Youtube, I only have made a few headwraps, a DS pouch, etc. I just got into cross-stitching, and I find it soothing, but I find it cuts into my book reading time.  Tongue Anyone else cross-stich? Show us what you make! I know I will post.

My first really little, humble, sad N00B creation:

The castle in the middle is a sprite from the game Super Mario Bros. 3, IIRC. I didn't make the pattern. I am currently working on a plastic canvas project for which I created the pattern. Will post project picture. Soon it will be back to work (sigh), but I would love to see other's creations in any stage of completion.

Cute! The last thing I cross-stitched was a 'Me to You' bear x-stitch kit that I got free in a magazine Cheesy I made my mum a birthday card from it.

I cross-stitched a lovely picture of Mary and Joseph with baby Jesus at the crib for my grandma for Christmas about two years ago. I'm kind of proud of it. Will see if up-digging of a picture is possible. Everybody thought the lamb was a dog, though. It didn't look a thing like a dog!  Angry

Oooh, ooh, me, me!!

I am working on this:

The background of mine is green, rather than rust. I have the head dress almost finished and everything else but the left arm(s) and leg areas done. I am excited that I am finally getting close to finishing. Craig bought this kit for me Christmas '07 (as requested) to replace the same kit that my ex somehow "lost." Of course, now my ex has found it, so I have two to do. I'm going to give the second one to Dylan when I retrieve it from the ex and finish it. I don't even remember how much of that one I still have to do.

I also crochet, but have no knitting-fu as of yet.

Pah! Reggikko, the show off! Tongue Seriously, the biggest thing I have ever cross-stitched is a pisces symbol that was about 3 inches square, and it still took me forever!

It's awe-inspiring, my jaw is officially on the floor Cheesy

I've never done anything this complex in cross stitch before. It is a bit daunting. My main problem is that most cross stitch is too "ducks on a wall" for my tastes. I hate cute shit as decor.  Cheesy

Fake edit: The dimensions of the piece are 16X21 inches. It comes from this site. What I like about kits from Pinn is that the pieces are all done in full stitches, no quarters or halves, but they are still very detailed. I might save my money for this one when I finish the Ganesh.

I used to cross-stitch all the time until I had children. I've done some nice ones that I had framed and hung up on my walls or given as gifts. Unfortunately the few I still have are in boxes right now and I can't go rummage around in the garage or I would post pictures.

I've definitely never done anything as elaborate as the project that reggikko posted.

Wow Reggikko! That is beautiful, and so huge! I would love to see progress pictures.

I used to cross-stitch all the time until I had children.
See, I'm a spinster.  Cheesy Oh, I would love to see your stuff next time you clean out the garage, KellyQ.

And Tsarina, I want to see the dog!

So, uh, in a different style, I just finished this 11 X 14 plastic canvas project.

I made the pattern, though it's an old Nintendo standard. This is going to framed and will look awesome in my sister's office. As you can see in the picture, it's a little too transparent without a frame. Also, I just discovered online audio books. Now I can cross-stitch and read. Awesome!

For lulz, you can see progress pictures here:

I have serious ADD when it comes to crafts. I'll crochet for a while, then work with my perler beads for a while, then do some cross-stitch for a while, and now I'm trying to relearn how to knit. As a result I have a lot of projects that I've started, but very few that I've actually finished.

I have completed a few tiny Christmas tree ornaments in cross-stitch. I have a bunch more to do, but I've lost them.

Reggikko, your project is lovely. I can't wait to see pictures of the finished work.

That is lovely cross stitch.  I am a very bad cross stitcher.  I always end up on the wrong row, and then the whole thing is hopelessly off.  That could possibly be because I don't really know what I'm doing with that.  I crochet instead.

How long have you been working on that project?  It seems very elaborate.
